The challenge for the landscape design of this hillside property perched in the Mission Highlands above the Sonoma Valley was to increase the family and guests enjoyment of the stunning panoramic views of the mountains and valley floor.  To accomplish this, the designed landscape utilized modern engineering techniques to extend a new masonry pool terrace 12 feet out from the existing pool wall, while elevated 25 feet above the existing grade.  The new pool deck extends from the existing swimming pool wall out toward the valley view.  Together with the minimalist stainless steel railing design, the ability to enjoy this stunning setting is greatly increased.  A more intimate crescent seating area and private spa was also created for the enjoyment of views of the evening sky and valley lights in a secluded setting.
